Job Description:
Andritz Fabrics and Rolls is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Excellence Intern to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving manufacturing efficiency, particularly around the manufacture of roll cover and roll mechanical service products for paper machines. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics, technical expertise, and collaboration skills to support key initiatives that drive plant throughput improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice-to-Order Process Support: Assist in enhancing the order-to-invoice workflow. This includes ensuring accurate order entry and tracking to improve plant throughput and minimize delays. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve documentation processes.
- Manufacturing Process Optimization: Use data analytics and manufacturing process knowledge to identify barriers and opportunities for improving plant throughput. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance production efficiency.
- Asset Management System Support: Contribute to the revamp of the OneTrac asset management system by reviewing, validating, and entering data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Participate in process improvement projects and collaborate with teams to implement best practices that support manufacturing growth and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing one) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making. Process Mapping, Root Cause analysis, and Cost Reduction Activities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, writing SOP’s or OPI’s for job instructions particularly within paper machine operations, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a team environment.

Internship would be located at the Griffin, GA ANDRITZ roll facility.
