GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the paper roll filler must be ab,e to work proficiently with others, work from verbal instructions, not afraid of heights, good mechanical aptitude, good with mathematics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Ability to:
- Read diagrams, blue-prints, setup and assemble roll cores for press.
- Operate overhead cranes, operate small to large vertical hydraulic presses.
- Setup roll cores in press and fill roll cores per verbal instructions and job routing.
- Calculate total fill material per each roll core, lock and remove filled roll from press.
- Perform periodic press maintenance per instructions.
- Help others cut, spin and key fill material as required.
- Help load and unload the filled rolls from semi-trailers as required.
- May also help and assist in disassembly and assembly of bearings and bearing blocks.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Excellent planning, problem solving and decision-making.
- Use of proper safety / personal protection equipment
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: On the job training will be provided.Other combinations of experience and education that meet requirements may be substituted.
