Summary:

 

Reporting to the Plant Manger, this position is responsible for assembling and testing sensor electronics, managing supply chain operations including inventory and vendor relationships, and coordinating product shipments to support ANDRITZ's sensor monitoring systems.

 

Required Experience and Capabilities:

 

Manufacturing & Production

  • Electronics assembly and testing, soldering sensor materials, laminating sensor strips
  • Installing Windows OS on PC builds
  • Inspecting finished assemblies for defects
  • Performing functional testing and calibration of sensors

Quality & Documentation

  • Documenting test results and maintaining quality records
  • Creating/updating work instructions or assembly procedures
  • Following ISO 9001 and ESD protocols

Supply Chain & Inventory

  • Tracking inventory, monitoring reorder points, ordering materials
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming materials
  • Kitting materials for production runs
  • Assisting with inventory audits

Logistics & Shipping

  • Packaging finished products based on Bill of Materials
  • Packaging semi-finished products based on Bill of Materials
  • Applying labels and serialization to products
  • Routine Shipping to domestic and international locations

Vendor & Customer Relations

  • Communicate with global users through email and phone
  • Communicating with suppliers on lead times or quality issues
  • Managing vendor relationships for consumables
  • Processing returns or warranty materials

Collaboration & Support

  • Preparing customer-specific configurations
  • Coordinating with engineers and scientists on prototype builds
  • Communicating production status to project managers
  • Training new team members on assembly procedures
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the plant management

 

 

Additional Desired Experience and Capabilities:

 

  • Knowledge of electronic circuit design and practices
  • Soldering skills
  • Familiarity with 3D printing
  • Familiarity with paper production processes
  • Shipping (domestic and international), hazardous materials handling
  • Maintaining hazmat shipping certifications

Job Requirements:

 

This position requires a minimum of Associate of Science degree in Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline including software and electronics. Knowledge of computers and skilled in the use of Microsoft products including Excel and Word. Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Requires up to 20% travel to plant sites, customer sites, and vendors.
