In the Group Information Technology department in Graz, we are looking for a Senior Project Management Lead (m/f/d). 
 
The Senior Project Management Lead is accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale SAP rollouts and highly complex transformation programmes, including multi-country rollouts, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), carve-ins, blueprint implementations, legacy consolidations, and other in-ternal ERP initiatives.
This role requires exceptional seniority, leadership maturity, and delivery excellence, serving as:

• Single point of accountability for critical SAP delivery programmes
• Trusted advisor to executive leadership and steering committees
•  A stabilising presence in high-risk, high-complexity environments

Your Tasks

• End-to-End Programme and Project Leadership
• Lead complex SAP rollout programmes across multiple legal entities, countries, and business divisions.
• Manage large-scale rollouts, parallel deployments, and M&A integration projects with competing business priorities and complex dependencies.
• Assume full accountability for scope, budget, schedule, quality, and benefits realisation.
• Establish and enforce robust delivery governance, stage-gate models, and escalation mechanisms.

Steering and Executive Management

• Prepare for and lead Steering Committee meetings.
• Translate complex delivery realities into clear, decision-ready management insights.
• Act as leadership presence in critical or escalated situations, including timeline recovery, rollout issues, or organisational resistance.

SAP Rollout and Transformation Expertise

• Own and continuously improve SAP rollout frameworks, templates, and standards.
• Lead deployments covering:
• Multi-ERP legacy replacements
• Blueprints and template rollouts
• M&A integrations
• Regional and global rollout factories
• Ensure close alignment across solution design, data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare workstreams.

PMO and Project Management Excellence

• Build and lead senior project management structures (PMO, rollout leads, and workstream project man-agers).
• Coach and provide quality assurance to other project managers.
• Ensure a consistent application of best-practice project methodologies (hybrid: SAP Activate, waterfall, and agile).
• Drive portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation across competing rollouts and initiatives.

Risk, Quality, and Financial Control

• Proactively manage programme risks, dependencies, and organisational readiness.
• Ensure financial discipline through budget tracking, forecasting, and cost optimisation.
• Maintain delivery quality under pressure, particularly during:
• Parallel go-lives
• Concurrent internal projects
• Time-critical regulatory or business deadlines

Your Profile
 

• 15+ years of professional project and programme management experience.
• 10+ years leading large SAP programmes (rollouts, transformations, and M&A).
• Proven delivery of multi-country, multi-ERP, and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• A strong track record of executive-level programme ownership within complex organisations.
• Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA, RISE, or hybrid landscapes.

Education and Certifications

• University degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
• PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or SAFe certification is a strong advantage
• SAP Activate or SAP programme certifications are advantageous

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 4.918,43 for this position.
Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.
