In the Environment & Energy - Pumps department in Graz, we are looking for a R&D Controlling Pumps & international EPU (m/f/d).

Your Tasks
In this key role, you act as the commercial financial representative within our R&D organization and play a key role in overseeing and managing all financial aspects within our Pumps division. With your big picture thinking, you independently develop a wide range of topics and contribute to the sustainable development of the business beyond the topics associated with R&D. This broad role not only allows you to use your analytical skills, but also gives you the opportunity to actively shape the business and take on operational responsibilities. The position will present you with broad professional and international experience and is well suited as base for further professional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Stakeholder communication – you are the commercial financial sparring partner to the R&D organization, take responsibility and provide guidance on all commercial issues.
- Manage financial planning – you develop and maintain budgets and investment needs by working closely with the team to understand project requirements, expected costs and ensure alignment with overall business financial objectives
- Ensure cost management – you conduct in-depth cost and gap analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. You co-build and deploy related action plans
- Drive performance evaluation – you support decision making by communicating the financial implications and stakes and providing relevant data. You own, produce and co-ordinate monthly financial reporting to the R&D team and senior management
- Support process improvement – you pro-actively improve financial processes, reporting landscape and tools to enable a more effective decision making on R&D activities
- External funding management – you are responsible for the division-internal process of applying for various research grants (e.g. Austrian Research Grant) up to application and submission.
- Control investment management - you evaluate investment projects, apply for budget funds and monitor the costs and efficiency of investment projects
Your Profile
- We are looking for experts with a degree in economics/business and at least 3 years of relevant professional controlling experience, ideally in the project business and/or plant engineering.
- Experience with ERP systems and SAP is a prerequisite, as is a sound knowledge of English and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- To fulfil these responsible tasks, we are looking for dynamic individuals with a high level of social competence and strong communication skills. You will also have strong analytical skills, determination and a high degree of personal responsibility.

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 3.682,25 for this position.
Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.
