We are looking for a Head of Division and Project Supply Chain Management (m/f/d) in Graz or Vienna.

 

Your Tasks

  • Develop and implement, together with your business partners and your team, supply chain strategies for complex capital projects and divisional portfolios.
  • Own end-to-end supply chain performance, ensuring seamless integration of sourcing, logistics execution, and supplier quality across all project phases.
  • Lead and further develop the Division and Project Supply Chain team with a clear focus on accountability, execution excellence, and performance ownership.
  • Ensure material availability, reliable logistics execution, and adherence to quality and delivery commitments across all project milestones.
  • Establish and govern supplier performance frameworks, including quality, delivery reliability, and risk management across the supply base.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, quality, logistics, and global SCM structures to ensure aligned execution.
  • Drive strategic sourcing, bundling initiatives, and continuous improvement with full responsibility for total cost, quality, and delivery performance (TCO view).
  • Implement ESG requirements and ensure compliance across suppliers, logistics partners, and the broader supply ecosystem.
  • Take ownership of supplier-related risks, escalations, and quality topics, ensuring structured mitigation and sustainable resolution.
  • Oversee contract negotiations and claim management in coordination with Legal, including commercial and quality-related claims.
  • Drive digitalization and automation across supply chain processes to improve transparency, efficiency, and real-time performance steering (incl. logistics & supplier KPIs).
  • Promote harmonization of supply chain processes across divisions and projects to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Implement international best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier quality governance, logistics excellence, and KPI-driven performance monitoring.
  • Benchmark supply chain performance against global standards to identify improvement opportunities and ensure operational excellence.
  • Shape a resilient supply chain setup, integrating sourcing, logistics strategies, and supplier development to respond effectively to global disruptions and market dynamics.

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in business, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong project experience in plant engineering (Anlagenbau) and complex capital projects.
  • Several years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in an international industrial environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt beneficial.
  • Proven leadership experience and strong people management skills.
  • Expertise in demand planning, procurement, logistics, and end-to-end supplier performance and quality management.
  • Solid understanding of supplier quality governance, audit processes, and logistics concepts in project environments.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align supply chain with business objectives.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in SAP and common SCM tools.

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 5.069,65 for this position.
Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.
