The ANDRITZ Group Quality & Safety Management (GQS) is looking for a highly qualified professional capable to cover tasks in our Quality and Environment pillar. The preferred location for this position is either the headquarter in Graz or any ANDRITZ office in Europe.
Your Tasks
Quality Management System
- Get prepared to take over the responsibility of the ANDRITZ Matrix Certification Management. It is foreseen that you will take over this responsibility in the next 6 months. This will occupy roughly 30% of your time.
- Get prepared to take over the responsibility of the Management of the ANDRITZ Policies. GQS has the task to:
- avoid obsolescence
- review policies and manage updates
- initiate new policies whenever necessary
- GQS is responsible of proposing, wording and reviewing all policies concerning QHSE. For other subjects, GQS is in contact with the responsible process owners to manage and align its content.
- Group Audits and Management Reviews: As Matrix Owner, GQS is audited once a year to demonstrate the efficiency of its Certificate Management System concerning ISO 9001/14001/45001/50001. It is part of the QMS to prepare the annual Audits and Mgmt. Review with the CEO. This includes also the surveillance of internal and external audits executed by the Matrix participants.
Continuous Improvement (CI)
- DMAIC and cost efficiency: Get prepared to check the quality (content and timing) of improvement projects that are executed by the Business Areas. GQS samples and benchmarks those to make sure that the execution quality is satisfactory. You will take over a share of those checks once the training is completed.
- FMEA: Get prepared to moderate FMEAs for projects that need to run an FMEA prior to start the Digital Approval according to our Quotation Review Policy. GQS will be challenged with a rising demand for moderation as FMEAs are now becoming mandatory for certain project profiles. You will take over a share of those moderations once the training is completed.
- Design Thinking: Set up a comprehensive offer to propose Design Thinking as a tool for Development and Innovation. This offer should include tool trainings, moderation, and eventually complete project management.
- Policy Deployment: Get prepared to master the Policy Deployment Tool. This is the groupwide tool to align strategies, define short term targets, set up actions and define TTI’s to measure the success of the Action Plans. GQS is using this tool and you as a part of the team should be able to handle it correctly.
- CI -Project Management: GQS occasionally runs CI-Projects in one of the ANDRITZ-BA’s. You will be asked to moderate and/or manage directly such projects. This will require a deep understanding of CI-Tools such as DMAIC, VSM, VA, Ishikawa, etc. Those projects will require a partial presence in the project-location.
- Promote communication: GQS must demonstrate its business impact and relevance to increase the overall Quality of ANDRITZ Group. You will be asked to prepare Best Practice and Success Stories, that GQS publishes on its SharePoint and via internal communication platforms.
ESG
- GQS supports the director of ESG with data analysis and dashboards to manage our ESG Targets. Eventually, it will be an occasional part of your tasks to run smaller ESG-Projects for this pilar of activity.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree Engineering and ideally a PhD to demonstrate your capabilities to solve complex tasks.
- Some working experience in the three pillars of activities outlined above.
- General Knowledge of the 3 most relevant Certifications for ANDRITZ: ISO 9001/14001/45001
- Good level of English and German, written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Great communication, moderation skills. Experience coaching and mentoring others is advantageous
- Ability to maintain strong network relations to stakeholders within a global organization
- Strong skills in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information and in using spreadsheets, database and presentation software
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a highly structured and organized manner within an interdisciplinary environment and a matrix organization
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Copilot) as well as ERP’s (SAP), PLM’s and eventually other engineering software such as Design Thinking, Fluent,
- dynamic and static stress Software are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to our locations, factories and construction sites worldwide

In Austria we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 4.269,07 for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience we offer you a market-based salary.
