  • Determine purchasing needs and procure materials, supplies, and components under optimal conditions.
  • Conduct research and advise on make-or-buy analyses.
  • Advise in new product development regarding manufacturability, cost, and lead time.
  • Negotiate and align terms in framework agreements, contracts, and cost price models.
  • Maintain supplier contact regarding reliability, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Manage and monitor contractual agreements on sustainability and compliance.
  • Initiate improvements with stakeholders to optimize quality, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Represent Procurement in Service/Maintenance/Indirect/Capex projects.
  • Implement and manage safety and environmental requirements among suppliers.

Qualification Requirements

  • You are in possession of a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a commercial or technical field.
  • It is desired that you have completed additional Nevi 1 & 2 (or equivalent) purchasing education.
  • Proven multi-year experience as a strategic/tactical/project buyer in a technical environment.
  • Relevant technical knowledge from a similar industry gained through education or experience is a plus.
  • Communicative, persuasive, and service‑oriented professional with strong analytical and structured working style.
  • Proactive, results‑driven, and independent, with a flexible and collegial team spirit.
  • Skilled in KPI‑based performance management, data analysis, and drawing actionable conclusions.
  • Strong prioritization, time‑management, self‑learning ability, and commitment to sharing best practices.
