GENERAL DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the global strategy, technology (innovation, R&D, etc.) and business performance (volumes, margins, competitiveness, etc.) of your product category, which includes machines to produce animal feed, aqua feed, pet food or biomass.

The preferred location is either in Esbjerg (Denmark) or Geldrop (The Netherlands) and report directly to the Head of Product Management

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Definition and management of the global portfolio of your product group for several industries, incl. scope, performance, price, standardization, development, life cycle and roadmap.
• Development of the business plans with respect to the product (sales and gross margin targets) in collaboration with the Industry Managers, Regional Sales and Service, Business Innovation and Engineering. 
• Management of individual product profitability and market pricing.
• Market Intelligence incl. analysis of market trends, customer requirements, competitor analysis, price and performance.
• Development of the USPs (unique selling points) and value proposition for your key products.
• New product introduction strategy and material in cooperation with Marketing.
• Support the Industry Managers and the Business Unit Manager in the strategy development process.
• Product training and support internally and externally.
• Interact with other functions: Business Innovation, Marketing, Engineering, etc.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Preferably, experience from a similar position within the Feed & Biofuel industry and thereby knowledge about the market, products and customer demands..
• Experience in a similar industry, such as Animal feed, aqua feed, pet food and/or biomass production
• Product management principles (4P marketing mix, etc.).
• Intrapreneurial product ownership and project management.
• Business effective interaction with customers. 
• Market analysis & research.
• Strategic portfolio and innovation management.
• Technical/technological background to understand engineers and R&D.
• Commercial know-how to manage pricing, profitability etc.
• Regulatory & compliance affairs.
• Fluency in English, German, Dutch or Danish knowledge preferred.

SCHOOL EDUCATION

• Minimum: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or similar technical background.
• Desirable: MBA or master’s degree in engineering, business administration or similar.
