General Description

As the Head of Product Group Dies & Roller Shells you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic direction, development, and performance of the Dies & Roller Shells product group within the Andritz Feed & Biofuel division. Your primary focus will be on driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the assigned product group. You will collaborate with various departments, but most importantly with Global Manufacturing Operations, Global Sales & Service teams and Automation & Digitalization to ensure the success of the product group.

You will be based in Geldrop (The Netherlands) and will report directly to the Vice President BU Service, Giedre Serritslev. Working from home and travel abroad can be part of the position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Group Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product group strategy aligned with the overall Service business vision and ambitious growth plans. Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive trends to shape the product group's vision and roadmap.
  • Business Development: Drive business development, propose initiatives to support growth plans, build relationships with key stakeholders (customers, partners, etc), lead sales efforts and negotiate contracts.
  • Sales: Take an active role in generating and qualifying sales leads, show ownership in Sales process, guides sales team and give guidance on key opportunities.
  • Financial Performance: Take complete P&L responsibility for the product group, including setting and achieving budgets for Order Intake, Sales, margins (GM, EBITA), and ONWC. Monitor financial metrics and implement measures to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, lead, mentor, and manage the performance of the product group team in a direct and/or matrix organization. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that drives innovation and results.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Initiate, drive, and execute strategic initiatives to enhance the product group's offerings, market position, and competitiveness.
  • Business Model Innovation: Foster an entrepreneurial approach and explore innovative business models, such as spin-off ventures, M&A, outcome-based pricing, etc. to optimize the product group's structure and competitiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Global Sales and Service organizations, BU Capital equipment, Innovation (R&D), Global Manufacturing Operations teams and Automation & Digitalization to expand the product group's customer base and global reach.
  • Smart Technologies and Value-Added Solutions: Lead the adoption of Smart (digital) technologies to offer value-added wear parts and proactive Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) services, enabling intelligent decision-making and maximizing customer outcomes.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Manage and standardize the product portfolio, including value proposition and pricing, to enhance market competitiveness.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to critically analyze and develop processes and systems, aiming to improve lead times, wear parts availability, distribution structure, and alternative supply chains.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct frequent customer visits to understand pain points, gather feedback, and develop compelling business cases for new product development.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market intelligence on customer requirements, competitor analysis, pricing, and performance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Product Expertise: Provide expertise on relevant product offerings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sales Enablement: Support and provide product training to global sales organizations, enabling value-based selling and effective customer engagement.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • You are in posession of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant degree.
  • Proven experience within the business development or related function, preferably within the same industry or a closely related one, in a global organization with a complex matrix structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate (international) cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives in combination with a hands-on approach.
  • Proven track record of developing strong business relationships, processes and improve / maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • The ability to define and manage KPIs, strategic initiatives and cost control.
  • You are familiar with systems like SAP, CRM, and SPC in combination with strong administrative capabilities.
  • Strong and effective English communication skills (verbally and written). Dutch and German are good to have.
  • You work in an organized and structured way in combination with adequate planning skills supplemented with knowledge of Supply Chain / Project Management Principles.
