Join our team as Sales Manager (m/f/x) – Airlaid and take the lead in driving international sales of advanced Airlaid production lines and solutions. In this role, you will represent our full Airlaid technology portfolio to customers worldwide, develop project-specific strategies, negotiate complex contracts, and ensure compliance across all stages. Leveraging your technical expertise and global experience, you will facilitate projects across diverse cultures, provide market intelligence, track competitors, and identify new business opportunities in a rapidly evolving industry. This position offers the chance to shape the future of sustainable nonwoven solutions while working closely with our global organization and traveling internationally to strengthen customer relationships.

 

  • Drive international sales of advanced Airlaid production lines and stand-alone web-forming units.
  • Achieve annual order intake targets and ensure timely, profitable order intake in line with strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary sales interface between customers and the Center of Excellence.
  • Develop and implement project-specific sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships; contribute to Key Account Management initiatives and strategic customer development.
  • Establish and manage the front-line sales organization, including agents and representatives.
  • Lead complex contract and price negotiations, including legal clarifications and digital approval processes (e.g., SCAP).
  • Independently manage sales of complex plant solutions and develop tailored problem-solving approaches.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposal documents and ensure best technical solutions for end-user applications.
  • Promote the full-service product portfolio – from spare parts to complete solutions.
  • Represent the Product Group at trade fairs, symposiums, conferences, and customer events.
  • Plan and execute marketing activities to strengthen customer proximity and satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, including trends, competitor activities, and installed base data to support service and sales planning.
  • Identify market trends and technological developments to derive new business opportunities and drive business development into new segments.
  • Foster collaboration between Sales, Service, Product Management, Technology, and Marketing teams.
  • Contribute to standardization concepts in cooperation with process engineering and plant design teams.
  • Comply with all relevant company and statutory health and safety procedures and guidelines.

 

You have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

 

  • Education / Qualification:
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Paper Technology, or equivalent technical education (e.g., Technician) with relevant professional experience.
    • Further degree in Business Administration (MBA) would be an advantage.

 

  • Professional Experience:
    • Several years of international sales experience in machinery for the pulp or nonwovens industry.
    • Relevant professional experience in Airlaid, Nonwoven or Pulp technology.
    • Strong market, customer, and product knowledge.
