Brief Description 
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of projects, from conception to completion. Must be able to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring that each one meets its individual goals and objectives, including timeline and budget. 

Key Responsibilities 
 Oversee multiple projects and team of designers and drafters to complete assigned work on schedule and within budget 
 Manage projects from start to finish by setting deadlines and target to ensure that teams are meeting budget and schedule 
 Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components 
 Liaise with sales, designers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure coherence and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
 Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and codes 
 Coordinate and assign projects to completion, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities 
 Support product sourcing, purchasing, and selection as required by the design process 
 Gather, understand, and convert customer specifications and data into usable manufacturing information

Qualifications (Required) 
 Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology 
 5+ years of experience as a Design or Mechanical Engineer 
 Mathematical ability in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus 
 Experience with 2D & 3D modeling; proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and MS Project 
 Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
 Excellent problem-solving skills; flexibility to deal with frequent changes in priorities 
 IT and CAD knowledge 
 Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change 
 Ability to work in a team environment; ability to interact with all levels of the company, professionally and in a positive manner 
 Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative 
 Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word & Excel 
 Majority of work is performed in an office environment; occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, forklifts, and electricity in the manufacturing areas; noise level is usually low, but can increase substantially when entering manufacturing 
 Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; must have ability to use close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus; must be able to sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, use hands and arms to reach for objects, carry, climb or balance, speak and hear, use hands repetitively when using workstation, computers, and copier 

Other Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) 
 Experience in drafting/design layout for large industrial equipment & steel fabrication practices 
 Practical experience with the design of precision heavy-duty machinery and pneumatic conveyance systems 
 Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including mentoring, evaluating, and training of other engineers
