The Sales Support Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting global sales teams by preparing and managing quotations for automation and digitalization solutions. Using the Quots system, this role ensures that quotations are accurate, timely, and aligned with Andritz compliance. The Sales Support Engineer also reviews and manages CRM data to ensure proper sales funnel input, acting as a liaison between sales, product groups, and engineering teams. This role requires a solid understanding of automation technologies and a collaborative approach to streamline the quoting process and deliver high-quality solutions to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and manage quotations for Automation and Digitalization (AD) solutions in Quots, the Andritz quoting tool, based on input from sales, engineering, and product teams.
- Review and manage CRM data to ensure the sales funnel is accurately reflected in Quots for efficient and reliable quoting.
- Act as a liaison between the product group and sales to maintain alignment and facilitate smooth communication regarding automation and digitalization offerings.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the quoting process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, standardization, and support for Automation and Digitalization solutions.
- Collaborate with product group to ensure the latest solutions and product updates are reflected in quotations.
- Provide technical support to regional sales teams and engage directly with customers when necessary to clarify automation and digitalization requirements.
- Develop and maintain quotation templates and tools to improve the accuracy and speed of quote preparation for AD solutions.
- Analyze quotation data to identify patterns, improve pricing strategies, and generate insights for business decisions related to automation and digitalization.
- Ensure all quotations meet Andritz compliance and documentation standards, with a focus on process transparency and audit readiness.
- Work with global teams across different time zones and adapt communication styles to regional needs.
- Assist in training and onboarding regional sales teams on the Quots system and quoting processes, with an emphasis on automation and digitalization solutions.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Digitalization) or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of automation, digitalization, and plant control solutions.
- Proficiency in using quotation systems (experience with Quots is a plus).
- Experience with CRM systems and managing sales funnels.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global, matrix organization.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working across diverse cultures and time zones.
PERFORMANCE METRICS (KPI)
- Reduction in quote preparation time and increase in quote accuracy.
- Accuracy and reliability of CRM data feeding into Quots.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Digitalization), IT Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with relevant experience in automation or digitalization solutions.
Experience
- 5 years of relevant working experience in automation, digitalization, or related industries such as Feed, Biofuel, or Process Industries, with a focus on automation solutions (EIC, Power).
- Strong experience in supporting sales teams with the preparation and management of quotations, ideally using quoting tools like Quots.
- Hands-on experience in reviewing and managing CRM data to ensure accurate sales funnel input for quotation generation.
- Solid understanding of automation and digitalization solutions, with the ability to assist in technical discussions and ensure accurate reflection of solutions in quotations.
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment, collaborating with product groups, engineering teams, and sales to deliver consistent and high-quality solutions.
