Project Management Intern

Summary of the role
We are seeking a motivated Project Scheduling Intern to join our Project Management team in our Charlotte, NC office. The intern will support the Scheduling team in various tasks related to the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project schedules for hydropower equipment rehabilitation and new installation projects across North America.
We are able to start an intern in July or August and go through the end of the Fall 2025 semester.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools under the guidance of senior schedulers.
- Update schedule progress based on inputs from the project team, site reports, and internal documentation.
- Support schedule analysis activities, including critical path analysis, float tracking, and variance reporting.
- Prepare schedule reports, graphics, and summary charts for internal and client-facing presentations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site teams to gather schedule-related information.
- Perform data validation and quality checks on schedule updates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Help maintain schedule files and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in project meetings and document action items related to scheduling.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
- Interest or coursework in project scheduling, project controls, or construction management.
- Basic understanding of project scheduling concepts (knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with various departments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
