Electrical Engineering Intern
Charlotte, NC - Hybrid, Paid Hourly, Flexible Schedule (during semester)
Summary of the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic electrical engineering intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. You will work closely with our experienced engineers on a variety of projects. This role will allow you to gain hands-on electrical engineering design experience.
This role will be available to start immediately. During the summer months interns are expected to work 40 hours per week. Interns are strongly encouraged to continue work during the school semester on a personalized schedule around classes. The expectation for working during the semesters is 15 hours per week.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role:
- Developing and maintaining electrical connection diagrams
- Interpreting and understanding electrical blueprints
- Utilizing AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting
- Employing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Researching and identifying part numbers for electrical equipment
- Assisting in the specification of electrical components

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and concepts
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eager to learn and grow in the electrical engineering field
