Under the supervision of the Director - Project Management, the Project Controller will participate in the monitoring of costs for all stages of our projects, from design to commissioning of plant automation equipment. With a solid background in finance and administration, as well as a keen interest in technology projects, this person will contribute, among other things, to the achievement of financial objectives and the continuous improvement of processes.

 

The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team;

 

•    Control project costs;
•    Prepare project schedules and execution plans;
•    Prepare project reports (internal and external);
•    Create and maintain projects in SAP;
•    Prepare project cash flow;
•    Collaborate on project document management;
•    Help prepare change requests;
•    Contribute to contractual risk management and project strategy support;
•    Contribute to analyses and make recommendations to management.

•    College degree or certificate in administration, finance or project management;
•    Three (3) to five (5) minimum years of experience as a project assistant or in a similar role;
•    Strong interpersonal skills; 
•    Good understanding of project management in a manufacturing or construction environment;
•    Good verbal and written communication skills (French/English);  
•    Autonomous with ability to work with multi-functional teams;
•    Experience with SAP or other ERP systems;
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
•    Knowledge of planning tools (e.g. Primavera or MS-Project);
•    Knowledge of business-related financial and commercial issues.
