The panel estimator is part of the Manufacturing Operations team. The team is responsible for the entire manufacturing process of electrical panels and other equipment in the field of hydroelectric automation.
The panel estimator will be responsible for estimating the cost of electrical panels manufactured at the Chambly plant, and for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, and to ensure continuity of the project as it moves from bid to execution.
The main responsibilities for this key role are as follows:
• Rigorous reading of customer specifications;
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical panel drawings;
• Evaluation of material and labor costs;
• Compilation of the various inputs to produce a complete and rigorous quotation;
• Optimization of the estimating process to offer competitive bids;
• Transfer to teams and support during project execution.

• Mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) ;
• Professionalism, communication skills & Integrity ;
• Responsibility for actions ;
• Meticulous ;
• Proficiency in electrical & mechanical drawing reading ;
• Strong knowledge of Excel ;
• Experience in panel assembly and wiring, an asset ;
• Proficiency in 3D design software (Inventor, Solidworks etc.), an asset ;
• Desire for multidisciplinary work.
