Andritz Pulp and Paper Italy s.r.l. operates in two sites; Lucca and Pinerolo, in the north of Italy. The heart of operations is based in Lucca, one of the main hubs of the global tissue industry (the so called tissue valley). The company specializes in the design and supply of advanced tissue and paper machinery, including complete production lines,rewinders and converting systems, roll handling and packaging systems,as well as automation and control solutions. In addition, it provides comprehensive after sales services and upgrades for both for tissue and paper industies.
Area of tasks, responsibility, and goals in the organizational area
Responsible for executing and coordinating process control & instrumentation engineering tasks in all project phases and supports sales team.
Main Responsibilities:
• Coordinates project related engineering tasks within local and global organization for multiple projects
• Selection and dimensioning of field instrumentation and control equipment according to process requirements in the pulp and paper industry
• Preparation of control and instrumentation specifications including purchase requisitions, hook-up drawings, and control descriptions
• Preparation of installation part lists for instrumentation and control devices
• Technical coordination of instrumentation and control engineering activities with ANDRITZ engineering teams worldwide
• Close coordination with the Project Manager to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule
• Responsibility for meeting agreed engineering budgets and timelines within the instrumentation and control scope
• Participation in internal and external technical meetings with customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Support of commissioning and start-up of instrumentation installations, including training and instruction of international customers on site
• Defines process controls and supports the sales departments with P&ID’s and instrument list
• Does preliminary sizing and provides cost calculation for control equipment
• Estimates engineering effort
Education /job experience:
- Technical High School Diploma
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering is considered a plus
- Proven track record in EI&C engineering/design
Expectation / requirements of the job holder:
- Knowledge of processes and customer needs in the paper and tissue industry
- Knowledge of automation, electrification, instrumentation and digitalization engineering principles and tasks within process industry (preferably in paper and tissue industry)
- Basic DCS and PLC programming knowledge
- Good knowledge of engineering tool COMOS is mandatory, AutoCAD skills are beneficial
- Automation and Digitalization Products knowledge (DCS, PLC, QCS)
- Language skills English (must have)
