Job Description

As a Refiner Service Center Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects related to refiners and auxiliary equipment. This includes coordinating with product managers, inside sales, shop staff, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful execution of service projects to meet or exceed customer expectations.

 

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Define and estimate quotations, resources, and execution of assigned projects.
  • Working with the Product Manager to ensure that customer’s unique needs are met.
  • Acting as the project lead to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Providing direction and support to vendors to ensure that outsourced work is completed accurately.
  • Ensure quality through following procedures and best practices.
  • Able to work independently and both as part of a team.
  • Develop project budgets and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiencies.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that refiner service projects meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, issues, and concerns.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including management, to provide project status updates and escalate any issues as needed.

 

 

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Post-secondary education in the mechanical engineering field (Mechanical Engineer \ Technologist) or related equipment experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent in manufacturing, fabrication drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • SAP experience an asset
  • Experience in Pulp and Paper industry an asset
  • Above average time management skills
