Andritz Limited, a division of Andritz AG Austria, is a leading Refiner Service Center supporting the North American Pulp and Paper industry. As the OEM, we are responsible for supporting our customers businesses with new and rebuilt equipment as well as technical experience. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of MILLWRIGHT.

MILLWRIGHT with a strong mechanical and technical background in a team oriented industrial facility, disassembles, inspects and builds production machinery for the Pulp and Paper Industry focusing on quality while following proper health and safety practices.

 

MILLWRIGHT:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

The ideal candidate would possess: 

  • Detailed assembly experience with complex and large mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Machining experience (an asset)
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Experience working with large bearings and mechanical seals
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Be self-motivated and can work with little or no supervision
  • Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Disassembling equipment from the Pulp and Paper industry
  • Evaluating and measuring the disassembled components to provided inspection protocols
  • Hoisting and rigging large components, moving them through the facility with overhead cranes
  • Build new and rebuilt assemblies / subassemblies from the parts provided
  • Maintain facility equipment as required
  • May be required to travel for service to customer sites throughout North America

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a millwright - experienced working on large assemblies and equipment with a strong background in hoisting
  • A provincial or inter-provincial ticket for a millwright is an asset, apprentices will be considered.
  • No restrictions from travelling freely throughout North America
  • NDT experience an asset
