Our ANDRITZ Feed and Biofuel facility in Blenheim, ON is seeking a Shop Worker to join our team. In this position, you will assist with site preparation, clean-up, and transporting materials. You will also have the opportunity to operate machines and tools, and load and unload items from machines. The successful candidate will develop the skills necessary to perform a range of basic tasks related to the shop activities at the Feed and Biofuel facilities. 

 

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Assist in the disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of pellet mills.
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist with repairs on pellet mill components.
  • Operate various tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect parts for wear and damage, and replace or repair as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.


When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or industrial setting is preferred.
  • CNC knowledge is an asset.
  • Machining knowledge is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
