Within this global structure, the Group Project & Site Management plays a key role in supporting project and site execution across the organization—overseeing global standards, workforce governance, assignment frameworks, and capability development to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of complex projects worldwide.

 

The HR Generalist - Global Project and Site Management will support the Global HRBP for Group Project & Site Management in all people-related processes for employees working in projects, sites, and installations worldwide.

This role ensures accurate workforce mapping in #APeople, supports the harmonization of global project assignment practices, contributes to job architecture, coordinates training needs, and strengthens global governance of P&SM-related HR processes. This position is essential to managing the increasing complexity and scale of P&SM initiatives, as previously outlined in leadership communications.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Workforce Mapping & Data Governance

  • Maintain accurate employee master data for all P&SM personnel (direct and indirect) in #APeople, aligning with practices from other HR Generalist roles
  • Consolidate mapping of competencies, roles, project allocations, and mobility status for all employees working in projects/sites.
  • Monitor P&SM workforce KPIs (headcount, turnover, open positions, assignment ratios), producing analyses and monthly dashboards.

 

Project Assignment Harmonization

  • Support the definition and global harmonization of Project & Site Assignment frameworks, ensuring consistent application across regions.
  • Coordinate the administrative process for assignment documentation (start, extensions, repatriations).
  • Track compliance with global standards and ensure alignment with Group policies.

 

Job Architecture & Organizational Frameworks

  • Maintain and update job architecture for all P&SM-related roles, ensuring clarity in role profiles, competencies, and job evaluation requirements.
  • Support benchmarking and consistency checks across regions.

 

Training & Capability Development

  • Map global training needs for P&SM roles and support the roll-out of onboarding, safety, technical, and leadership programs.
  • Coordinate global training sessions, leveraging experience from other HR Global programs
  • Support skill-gap assessments and development actions.

 

Global HR Processes & People Support

  • Serve as Point of Contact for HR matters related to P&SM, working closely with LEs, HR Managers, and the corporate P&SM leadership.
  • Support recruitment processes and employer branding activities for project and site roles.
  • Contribute to the administration of performance processes (#APerformance), engagement initiatives, and global HR calendars.
  • Prepare internal communications and presentations for global stakeholders.

 

HR Governance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure alignment with Group HR policies, auditing local implementations when needed.
  • Propose improvements and standardization to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Support special projects and initiatives defined by Group P&SM leadership and Group HR.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

 

  • Knowledge of core HR processes (HR Operations, assignments, training, performance).
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, and analytics capabilities (aligned with skills required in other HR Generalist roles)
  • Knowledge about principals in Project Management
  • Knowledge of ANDRITZ Business and Sites  
  • Experience with #APeople (SAP SuccessFactors) required.
  • Understanding of job architecture and competency frameworks.
  • English in an advanced level is required; other languages is advantage

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related fields.
  • 3–6 years of experience in HR Generalist/HR Operations roles.
  • Experience with technical or project-based teams preferred.
  • Experience in multinational or matrix organizations is a plus.
