Position Summary: As a Material Handler at Andritz Separation, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our supply chain and logistics processes. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products within our facility. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.
Pay Rate: $20-25 per hour DOE
Principle Duties:
- Responsible for all daily duties prioritized by the Area Supervisor
- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents, and inspect them for damages or defects.
- Unload, unpack, and store materials, supplies, and products in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Prepare and assemble orders for shipment, picking items from storage areas according to order requirements.
- Utilize manual or powered equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, to move materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate inventory management by recording the details of received and dispatched materials into the inventory management system.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and records.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, production, and shipping, to coordinate material flow and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste within the supply chain.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations related to material handling and warehouse operations.
- Overtime as required.
- Willing and able to make local deliveries when needed.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices for material handling, storage, and inventory management.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems or software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documenting materials.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow established protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to operate power tools (circular saw, nail gun) and forklift.
- SAP and Freight programs a plus
- Capable of reading ID/OD Micrometers, calibers, and tape measure (American Standards/Metric)
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
