Position Summary:
|
|
The duty of the Field Service Manager is to provide service and personnel in support of ANDRITZ Separation Inc.(and ASTI) customers to assist with installation, startup, and process performance, training and service of the equipment supplied. The Field Service Manager will work within the guidelines, established by the Service Centers Manager.
|
|
Typical Duties:
|
- Manage overall department profit loss, budgeting, employees
- Assist in the hiring, development and performance evaluations for service team members
- Develop and implement standard field service policy and procedure processes
- Manage the execution of Service Contracts for preventative maintenance on customer’s equipment.
- Manage the execution of selected repair or rebuild projects for assigned Product Group for the Service Department.
- Review and assist with execution scope to support quotations and service contracts for customers.
- Coordinates jobsite plan and arranges logistical support in order for technicians to minimize jobsite delays working through the Inventory Coordinator tracking all assigned FS tooling
- Provide support that all technicians use the Field Service Module (FSM) to its fullest potential
- Responsible for direct communication and logistical support by planning, scheduling each intervention as efficient possible.
- Ensure customers receive completed service reports for repairs and maintenance performed on their equipment by the Service Department.
- Responsible that all product training criterias are developed, scheduled, followed and recorded for history and for measuring individual sustainment in product knowledge. All focus to be on absorption targets to minimize tech idle times
- Approve reports and expenses prepared by the Field Service Team members prior to billing the customer.
- Maintain adequate tools and accountability for service of customer’s equipment.
- Make recommendations for maintenance to owners of equipment and technicians during service visits.
- Responsible for ASM and Product Specialist support in quoting, negotiating and meeting margin targets related to only FS topics
- Ensure all safety requirements are being followed by the service group and perform regular audits.
- Travel as needed for training and knowledge sustainment.

Basic Skills:
|
- Working knowledge of ANDRITZ supplied equipment.
- Experience at reading basic engineering drawings and parts manuals.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of SAP for quotations and evaluation of margin analysis.
- Ability to identify requirements for scheduled maintenance of equipment.

- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Assist the part department with recommended spare and wear items to existing and new customers as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Vice President.
