We are currently seeking an R&U Manager to join our Andritz Clean Air Technology team (ECA) in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development and sales, leading preparation of proposals and all activities for R&U project execution. The R&U Manager commonly provides leadership and guidance to other staff members while also helping to set the overall direction of the R&U business unit.

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
• Manage day to day functions of the R&U business unit including business development, sales, material and construction cost estimates, proposals, negotiations, project management, construction management, field support, etc.
• Provide project management, leadership and technical guidance to all project stakeholders.
• Project execution - done on schedule, on budget and to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Provide support to the Director of Operations and Engineering in commercial and contract management and determining/scheduling engineering resources required for project execution.
• Organize team meetings periodically, preparing the minutes and defining the actions for the project team.
• In collaboration with the Commercial Project Manager, analyze and prepare all the documentation related to the monthly project review.
• In collaboration with the Service Manager, determine and schedule field service resources required for project execution.
• With the support of the project team, prepare and negotiate customer claims, and evaluate and negotiate supplier claims.
• Assess RFQs of client and prepare documents for bid/no bid meetings.
• Work with various product homes (in and outside US) to select best technology & sizing of equipment.
• Prepare and submit bid packages to vendors and obtain quotes for equipment.
• Coordinate preparation of engineering packages with engineering departments, in order to prepare required documents for both the proposal and execution phase of projects.
• Prepare construction RFQ packages for EPC type projects, cost evaluations, means and methods evaluations, negotiations, etc.
• Consult and negotiate with customers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports.
• Support preparation of Quotation Review Documents for Senior Management.
• Actively support sales strategy for proposals and find competitive solutions for vendor packages.
• Support technical contract negotiations with the client.
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ensure the application of all defined Andritz procedures and standards.
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:
• Bachelor or Master of Science with focus on mechanical engineering, process engineering and/or plant engineering, with minimum 5 years of practical experience in the Air Pollution Control industry.
• Proven experience and accomplishments related to the efficient management of EPC type industrial retrofit and upgrade projects ranging from $500k to $5M.
• Sales, site audit, estimating, engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft software, including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and TEAMS.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English).
• Practical knowledge of construction standards and means and methods.
• Proven ability to manage several projects in different phases at one time while demonstrating strategic, logical and methodical problem-solving skills.
• Legally entitled to work in the USA.
• Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 20-30%).
• Open minded and willingness to work in culturally and geographically diverse teams.
• Willingness to learn and open to training.
Other valued, but non-essential skills, abilities and experience include:
• Registered as an EIT or PE in Georgia.
• Working knowledge of SAP and AutoCad.
• Practical knowledge of North American standards, knowledge of DIN / ISO / EN standards.
• PMP Certificate.
