ANDRITZ is seeking a self-motivated, Mechanical Design Engineer for the Recovery & Power group.

 

Education and Experience

 

To be successful, a candidate should possess:

  • B.S. or A.S. degree in Mechanical Design/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with industrial water tube boilers and mechanical inspections desirable.  Experience in Evaporator mechanical design is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Requires travel primarily within North America and the ability to perform inspection activities at industrial facilities.

 

Principal Duties

Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:

  • Mechanical design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and similar programs.
  • Engineering and design coordination with internal and external groups to produce cost effective designs focused on ease of fabrication and installation.
  • Field walkdowns and dimensioning for equipment layouts.
  • Field and site drawing data collection
  • Erection support at client facilities.
  • Communicate with internal engineering on equipment issues.
  • Develop and maintain project and product drawings, material lists and other technical documentation.
