POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain North America, the Category Manager – Parts Procurement will have direct responsibility for strategically sourcing and contracting approximately $100MM plus of various products within the MRO space, including but not limited to, General Industrial and Safety Supplies. This position will closely collaborate with key business leaders, R&D and Quality to forecast and source these key materials, delivering year over year reductions in total cost of ownership. This leader will lead the end-to-end sourcing process from strategy development, source to contract execution and supplier management, utilizing best in class procurement processes and tools. In this role, you will also:
- Execute all procurement functions in accordance with the Procurement and Compliance policies sent by the Global Head of Supply Chain
- Conduct extensive research and analysis of the global marketplace to ensure responsible sourcing and supplier partnerships are developed and maintained.
- Utilize eRFP and contracting tools throughout the sourcing process, from development to contracting
- Develop, negotiate, and manage supply contracts to meet the company’s objectives and standards
- In addition to owning global categories from development to implementation, this team member will maintain oversight of key categories while you continuously review and refresh strategies to achieve maximum cost savings.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with Andritz’ suppliers as well as interact with senior management and external suppliers to coordinate efforts and resolve supplier issues in a timely manner
- Take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned categories, including cost drivers, trends and risk assessments
- Analytical thinking/problem solving – sorts through complex issues, identifies alternatives and makes recommendations. Integrates information from multiple sources, assesses and communicates it accurately and timely

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: What we look for:
- 7 plus years’ experience in successfully leading and executing strategic sourcing initiatives resulting in year over year reductions in total cost of ownership
- 7 – 10 plus years total of overall supply chain management and/or operations experience
- Strong, strategic negotiating skills
- Strong knowledge and proficient utilization of eRFP tools and Contracting tools.
- Consistent and proficient knowledge of developing and implementing category playbooks and strategic sourcing strategies
- Proficient in successfully developing and executing the 7-step strategic sourcing process
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, proficient in Excel and ERP systems
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through defined processes and driving consensus to result in year over year total cost of ownership savings
- Consistent track record of balancing multiple projects/responsibilities and ability to adapt to changing priorities as well differing priorities with internal stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading cohesive, high functioning team members while building the appropriate bench strength for the organization
- Ability to travel approximately 25%- 30% domestically and internationally
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business. Masters preferred, but not required.
