THE ANDRITZ GROUP is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Familiarity with various types of benefits and incentives
• Proven knowledge of employee benefits and laws
• Proven ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly and effectively.
• Experience required in leave administration (multi-state leave administration preferred).
• Ability to utilize company HRIS proficiently to include running reports necessary for job responsibilities and tasks.
• Experience in self-funded/self-insured benefits preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); to include advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot-Tables, VLookUps, MACROs, etc.) required.
• Candidate must be ambitious, creative, proactive, and solution oriented.
• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 4+ years total related Benefits experience in a progressive HR and business environment.
• Experience with ADP preferred.
• CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), PHR (Professional Human Resource certificate), or SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resources Management – Certified Professional) desirable.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:
• Assist employees with medical, dental, vision, life and disability, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, pension plans, and other related benefit claims and questions including responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
• Develop and prepare communications to employees about benefit programs.
• Assist in resolving administrative concerns with the carrier representatives.
• Work through and with external vendors to ensure superior performance.
• Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs such as Open Enrollment.
• Coordinates leave administration such as STD, LTD and FMLA.
• Assists with Wellness program as needed.
• Assist NA Benefits & Compensation Team with completing benefits reporting requirements.
• In conjunction with Benefits and Compensation Team, perform all necessary tasks surrounding Open Enrollment to include work prior to Open Enrollment, year end tasks, and new plan year tasks.
• Work with Accounting to process monthly invoices from benefit vendors.
• Assist in the processing of required documents through insurance carriers and payroll systems to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
• Assist with enrollments for employee benefits plans and perform other duties and special projects as assigned from the US Benefits Lead and/or NA Benefits and Compensation Director.
• Assist in conducting on-going research into emerging trend issues and best practices in the Benefit and Compensation field.
• Assist in maintenance of the incentive system.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality in all employee and company related matters.
