We are currently seeking a Service Manager to work in our Air Pollution Control Division (KAP) in our Alpharetta or Roswell, GA, office. This position will be responsible to lead activities for the parts, retrofit & service (R&S) business of the APC unit in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess RFQs of client and prepare documents for bid/no bid meetings
  • Lead sales activities for the service business of KAP, incl. finding new business opportunities, work out concepts for specific retrofit solutions, provide support in proposal preparation, teaming up with partners for project execution (if necessary)
  • Actively support sales strategy for proposals and aspire finding competitive solutions for vendor packages, in order to minimize direct cost of proposals and maximize Andritz probability to win the order
  • Support contract negotiations with client and in accordance with Andritz requirements
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages.
  • Provide support in estimation for the proposal price, i.e. preparation and continuous update of bid comparison sheets, estimation of PM & engineering hours, etc.
  • Administer resources for the service group, consisting of various experts in their disciplines and working as FTE or third party contractors
  • Support project execution of contracts with higher complexity, in order to obtain desired business result
  • Cooperate with global R&S team, in order to implement business strategies and specific Andritz technologies in the North American market
  • Report on a regular basis business indicators and activities to the KAP management
  • Participate customer visits, if necessary

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science with focus on mechanical engineering, process engineering etc. and / or plant engineering, with practical experience in the Air Quality Control Industry for utility, Pulp & Paper, Metals Industry, etc.of at least 5-10 years
  • Strong knowledge of project engineering, project management and sales experience on capital projects ranging from $500k to $20M
  • Ability to elaborate R&S group capabilities and offerings to clients in writing and oral presentation
  • Experience with overseeing and scheduling resources of the service group
  • Vast experience in construction activities for AQC systems on sites
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Working knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English)
  • Communication skills in Spanish is a Plus
  • Practical knowledge of North American standards, knowledge of DIN / ISO / EN standards is a plus
  • Legally entitled to work in the USA
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (up to 30%).
