Job description: 

The ANDRITZ GROUP is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. In addition, ANDRITZ offers technologies for certain other sectors including automation, technologies.

ANDRITZ is looking for a Location Sales Manager for PUMP Division (EPU), based in Madrid. As Sales Manager you will focus on expanding sales by establishing a strong relationship with existing and new customers. You will have a strong personal drive to manage complex project tenders, as well as manage activity from distributors. You should be able to effectively negotiate terms and conditions and close contracts. Good cooperation skills, open mind, and positive attitude is a must.

The job will be based in Madrid, Spain.

 

Your job responsibilities and tasks are to:

 

  • Driving sales and promotional activities for PUMP Division (EPU) with focus in EPC contractors in different industries and Segments (Desalination, Water & Transport, Wastewater, Irrigation, Power, Pulp & Paper and others)
  • Achieve sales targets by implementing agreed designed strategies
  • Adequately liaise with Offer team in the Product Home
  • Engage with supply chain, project management, engineering and other departments in order to get required approval in a timely manner for key projects
  • Manage the relationship with new and existing customers, establishing and monitoring targets (numbers of visits, enquiries, sales)
  • Providing technical and product support to our customers. Developing the sales support materials
  • You will be able to generate your own offers with the help of the back-office group, will do dimensioning of the equipment and negotiate during the sales process until reaching a final agreement and finalize a PO or contract
  • Work with Order execution team for a smooth transfer after a sale is closed.

We are looking for candidate with the following experience & expertise:

 

  • Engineering degree
  • Knowledge in mechanical engineering, hydraulics and fluids engineering
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in centrifugal pumps business or similar fluid control equipment
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership and hands-on approach
  • Proactive, analytical and results-driven working style
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking
  • Leadership skills
  • Good communication skills and capable of managing conflict and negotiations
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is a must. Portuguese and French will be considered as an advantage
  • Availability to travel around 30% of time
